Things we don’t see

One of my favorite things is being outside and watching the clouds or looking at the stars at night. But I really love photography, so when I get to take pictures of the night sky and clouds, I get super excited.

When you take pictures at night the camera draws in light from all the different sources, even light that we can’t see with the naked eye. So, a picture can reveal a lot that we miss just by looking.

We need to be more like a camera. We need to refocus when things look chaotic.

We also need to know that God is always there and always working things out for our good even when we can’t see Him or feel Him. It’s just like those stars, with the naked eye, we can’t see all those stars outside, but they are there and when I took that picture, I could see them clearly.

The Scriptures say that we walk by faith and not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)  “for we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Romans 8:28 (ESV)  “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.“
