Good morning, everybody
It is so hard to stay focused when there are so many storms surrounding us. The winds are blowing, and the rain is pelting us from every direction. And we find ourselves putting out small fires instead of staying focused on the task at hand. If we are not careful, we will be drawn off course. That is the purpose of the enemy. To keep your attention focused on the not so important stuff. Your attention will keep your eyes and mind off the details that are important, and you will miss key information.
The enemy is very subtle in tactics. He may put people and things in your path that may not look wrong or bad, yet it will have a fish hook. The whole reason for the hook is to snag you and pull you back into relationships or even depression or it could cause you to feel like you are missing out on something from the past. When in reality, you are not missing anything. God has something great in your future.
The key is to stay focused, yet staying focused is not an automatic response. Staying focused has to be intentional. You must be determined in your mind and in your actions to stay focused. Turn your mind to do whatever is necessary to fix your eyes on what God has called you to do. Do not deviate from your course that God has laid out for you, no matter what people say or do.
Watch and pray. Be alert to the subtle things that come your way. Measure everything up against the Word of God, and look for anything that doesn’t line up. It doesn’t matter if it is off by the tiniest detail. It is still off. Is it what God said? God is perfect, and the things of God are perfect.
