Despair
In my despair, With all my burdens I could not bear. A Savior did appear, I heard Him whisper in my ear. You are My child, No longer will you be reviled. With tears streaming down my face, No longer will I be a disgrace. With just a word, I heard. With just a touch I became, More than a name, I became a flame. With a message of love, Given from above. God sent His son, To give us victory that will not be undone. And on that cross, Which was meant for loss. There was redemption, From all our transgression. With His Blood that was shed, Out of captivity He led. We are called to reign, And forever with Him we will remain.

All the broken people
All the broken people I look around and see so many Then I realize I am one Of the broken people All the broken people Looking and waiting For answers that don’t seem to appear Waiting to be heard Waiting to be seen Waiting for an answer All the broken people Needing to be put together One more time Or Maybe Some of us broken people Don’t remember a time Of not being broken Wondering What it feels like to not be Broken.

The coward
The coward Hiding in the shadows Waiting, watching always hiding Never standing Always lurking. The victim Always unexpectedly grabbed Pulled into the shadows Too afraid to run from the coward Fear so contagious until … A light begins to shine into the darkness Strength begins to grow Just a trickle then a flow The warrior stands The coward hides The warrior standing tall The Light getting brighter The coward goes into the shadows deeper The warrior discovers the light is within The coward screams The warrior turns and looks behind Other victims are following close Following the Light into freedom A roar can be heard softly at first Then a mighty roar is resounding through the land The victims run in freedom Never looking back Cowards hide Gathering like jackals Waiting, laughing and trembling in fear.

The edge of humanity
I walked out to the edge of humanity I could see what was, what is, and what will be. All through time and space The human race. Our thoughts Meaningless yet grasping for hope Wondering Feeling a loss of control How do we let go? Hanging in a balance Yet, we, as frail as a piece of dust Simply being. God So big and awesome Indescribable Yet, here and now We, mere mortals Are children of someone so much greater than we can or could ever imagine. Humanity on the edge Rushing headlong into destruction, Annihilation We, simply are not in control. We understand not of greater things. Time, In a forward motion Surges forth as it bends and twist Mere humans, simply being. As fingers being peeled loose of things not meant to be controlled by those of greed We wait Watching, groaning in anticipation on the edge of humanity of things to come. A time beyond human thought can ever imagine or achieve in our own humanity. Time Moving forward at an accelerated pace Feeling uncontrolled, yet, in reality, very much controlled Not by mere humans Frail dust Hanging in a balance By God in His awesomeness. The only one who was, who is, and who forever will be.

Kingdom Children Raise
Somewhere in between,
The seen and unseen.
It’s all been there from the beginning,
It’s just now the veil is thinning.
Why are you so surprised?
The enemy had everything disguised.
Prophets have shouted,
Many have doubted.
Time,
It is sublime.
God in all His splendor,
He is our great defender.
Captives in prisons long held,
Have finally been expelled.
Cries of freedom
Are now heard throughout the Kingdom.
Shouts of Praise,
Kingdom children raise.
Shout to the King,
Let your voices ring.
The King is coming,
The King is coming,
The King is coming.
